Cubicle To The Cage Blog # 7

We are half way through week two of training now and I really wish I didn't pull my groin half way through week one, there does not seem to be any signs of it getting better anytime soon, probably because I haven't taken any time away from training to let it heal, and I won't, I can't. I do not want to fall behind in class, miss a class and you miss learning something that could earn you victory or save you from defeat. I also hurt my shoulder a few nights ago doing some BJJ, I got caught in an armbar, and didn't tap and was able to pull out of it, but as he grabbed my arm, I went one way, he went the other and you could just feel it tighen up instantly luckly for me we were both sweaty and it slipped out but for the past two days, I haven't been able to lift my arm above my waist without wanting to cry, and last night we got to do 300 push ups along with learning a judo throw.. talk about a burning feeling!!! Thats enough complaing for one blog lol

I have talked about this with a few of the other guys that actaully go to the gym and train, we thought we were in shape because we can throw weights around in the gym and run on a stepmill.. boy were we surprised when we couldn't get up off the floor after a 5 minute "warm up" . So to everyone out there that thinks there in "shape" you're not haha, go to Titans do the warm up if you can do that and still breath after, then yes you are in shape.

Tonight we train in Sackville at the Titans location there, we split the training between the two Titans locations, I sorta live in the middle of both so it doesn't really effect me all that much from having to go to different locations.

I got some emails asking some questions so I'll answer some of them here.. keep them coming maritimewrestling@hotmail.com

Favourite Fighter : Matt Hughes
Favourite Fight : I have a couple Hughes vs Trigg 2, Damian Maia vs Jason MacDonald (UFC 87), Shogun vs Henderson (UFC 139) and other than Hughes/Trigg 2, my favourite finish came recently in the second Frank Mir/ Nogueira fight at UFC 140
Favourite Wrestler : All time I would have to go with Triple H, currently John Cena.
Who Do I Look To For Inspiration : There are a few different people Rob Bailey, Dana Linn Bailey, Kai Greene & John Cena. Overall though its John Cena, for my money Cena is what every single professional athlete should strive to be.

Cubicle To The Cage Blog # 6

Well last night was probably my most successful night of training so far, we did another BJJ class and last night I actually submitted one of the coaches, now I know they probably were not going 100% and I guarantee they could tie me into a bow if they wanted, but it still felt so good to do!

We are coming close to the end of the first week of training, not many injuries to tell you about one guy broke his thumb but thats the worst one so far, I just have some bruises on my collar bone and my shins ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs0RYt8jWdA I need to go to Thailand and start kicking some trees. Must condition shins).

When I am at the gym (which is still everyday by the way) I find myself looking around at all the guys and girls there working out, lifiting weights thinking they are in shape, much
like I did, but now knowing what we go through every night is about a million times harder than anything you can do with weights at the gym, its not even close.

But yes for all those who asked, I am still in the weight room every morning, which means I am training twice a day. My days go by so fast now and they are sorta laid out like this : Wake up, protein shake, gym, protein shake, eat, eat, eat, protein shake, train at Titans, protein shake, eat, sleep and then start it all over again the next day.

No video this time, but a new video should be coming out soon so stay on the look out for that, you can still watch the old ones at youtube.com/newscott
My little bruise on my neck/collar bone

A few little bruises on my shin, can't really see them cause my legs are tan, but trust me they are there haha.
Those are the only two little bumps and bruises I have so nothing serious at all....yet

Cubicle To The Cage Blog # 5

I just wanted to write a quick blog about the show last week before we start training tonight, so here it is!
Last Friday night was my first full access into a MMA show. I got there a bit early before everyone else so I could see how everything worked. It really isn't that much different than wrestling, other than dealing with the commission and it taking 10 hours to set the cage up and 5 hours to tear it down. But watching the fighters come in, get ready every one of them had a different way going about things. Some nervous, some calm, some intense!
Seeing the excitement in their face when they win, and the disappointment when they lose, is something you can't forget.
Watching someone on their back getting punched in the face and hearing there head smash off the canvus, thud after thud is a noise you will never forget. But you know what? hearing the noise of the crowd, hearing Team Titans support there guys no matter what, makes it all worth it!
I cannot wait to start training tonight.! Here we go!

Cubicle To The Cage Blog # 4

Watch the video blog - http://youtu.be/n8cz5uRNQ7U

Last Friday night we got the chance to watch some of the guys that are fighting tonight train, and I do gotta say some of the stuff they were doing was pretty crazy, but people are asking me if that scares me, or if that makes me want to quit.. Are you kidding? That's what motivates me! That's what drives me to get in there, it makes me wish I was the one getting ready to fight in a week and all those people on the side lines watching were there to watch me train! It does the opposite of scare me.

We start to train full time on January 30th, 6 days a week, and I plan on making as many as I can, I am sure I am going to have to miss some, because with having a life and other responsibilities something is bound to come up at somepoint.

I have done a few interviews this past week, I am not sure when they come out but I'll be sure to let everyone know when they do. In those interviews they all seemed surprised by the fact that I said I'll be standing there at the end, really? where else would I be, I'm not here to quit in 2 weeks, or 2 months or 6 months I am here to fight, and you better believe I'll be in that cage fighting when the time comes.

We are starting out with about 30 people on the show I think, and I have heard people say that they think there will only be 3 or 4 left come fight time, I guess that could be true, but why would you go on the show, try out for it, just to quit? I don't get it. I mean if you get hurt and you have no control over it, sure I can understand that, but to just quit because you find it too hard? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I am sure much like my self, everyone of those 30 people will want to be there at the end! Quitting? No chance!

Something that intrests me because of the amount of times i've set up and torn down wrestling rings, is how the cage goes together/ comes apart, I wasn't there to see it go together because they set up a day early for some reason, but I'll be apart of taking it down, and I really can't wait to see how it comes apart.

If you want to hear me talk about some other stuff watch the video blog linked at the top!

Well ECC 13 is tonight at the Halifax Casino and we are filming for tv! I hope to see all of you there!

Cubicle To The Cage Blog 3

Watch The Video Blog - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hy3VGHE4yrA

Welcome back to another NS CTTC B
As you could probably tell by the last video I am still getting use to being on the other side of camera, I spent most of the last 10 years behind the camera filming others, so this side is still all new to me, so bare with me and I promise it will get better.

I have gotten a few questions from people since I posted the last video/ blog most of which had to do with fitness and bodybuilding in general, asking what kind of shape I am in for this show, so I did write a little blog about it, but I'll go over it in a little more detail here.

When I decided it was time to try and put on some weight I was 5'11 and 120 lbs and got tired of looking like a stick, so I tried to put on weight, but the problem was I didn't know anything about it at all, so I just ate and ate and ate, and didn't go to the gym at all and I got to 201 lbs.. but a very fat 201 lbs. Then I started to date my wife who had just competed in the NSABBA show and placed third, and she started to take me to the gym with her and if I told you I had no idea what I was doing it would be an understatement, I was probably the worst training partern at that time anyone could have, I complained, I quit the gym everyday (even though I never missed a work-out I still said I was quitting at the end of everyone of them lol) luckly she is the greatest trainer in the history of the world, so she put up with me haha. I still wasn't dieting right by any means when I first started to go to the gym, so not much change took place, then I was like ok, if I'm going to do this its time to do it right, so I took the bull by the horns and started to diet, diet, diet. I went from a fat 201 fat to 164lbs, and the next step of my plan was to get back up to 200 with out being fat, which proved to be the hardest thing I have ever done, it was so easy to put on 81 pounds of fat, but now to put on 36 pounds of not fat it seemed like it would be easier to move the earth, I couldn't put on a pound no matter how much I ate, So again getting very frustrated with not being able to do what I want, I started to eat more chicken, pasta, rice, steak and potatoes than humanly possiable, which was hard for me cause I am not the type of person that likes to sit down and eat, but I did it and over time I got up too 203 lbs, which is the most I have ever weighted and one of the happiest days ever when I stepped on the scale and saw that number, but I couldn't stay there, I couldn't keep eating that much food lol, so I dropped down and now I weight between 185-190 which for the time being I am happy with. I am in the gym pretty much 6-7 days a week and I train in the morning, I don't like training at other times, its just sorta my thing. Pretty much all I have done for the past 5 years is read, and study about bodybuilding and nutrition, I'm no expert by any means, but I figure its good to know as much as possiable about what you are doing.

People also ask me if I think I am in shape? My answer is generally yes, I am in shape, but do I think I am as in shape as a MMA fighter? No, not one bit, it is a totally differently styling of training which I am sure is going to kick my ass, but I am very much looking forward to the change in training and the ass kicking I am sure is coming my way.

I was getting pretty nervous with not knowning the CTTC schedule because thats just the type of person I am, I like to think I am pretty organized, so not knowning stuff gets me worried, even though most of the time it doesn't really matter, but I was getting worried that the times of training and the stuff we have to do wasn't going to work out with my schedule, and I wasn't going to be able to go to all the stuff, then they posted the schedule and I don't think it could have been any better if I picked it out myself, if it stays like this there are not many times I am going to have to miss which is fantasic to me, because I want to go as much as possiable. So I am very thankful that worked out.

As I said before for any and all CTTC info visit all the links listed below and if you have any questions comments or anything else, email me at maritimewrestling@hotmail.com, or comment on this blog or video depending how you are viewing. Thanks again for taking the time to check this out. Please feel free to share this video / blog anywhere and everywhere you want!

One last thing.. We start filming for the show on January 20th at Titans MMA, not really sure what we are going to be doing that day, but thats when it all begins, thats when the journey of NewScott going to into Mixed Marital Arts starts, are you ready?

Hello and welcome to the very first NewScott Cubicle To The Cage Blog.

Watch the video blog at :

or
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xnegs3_cubicle-to-the-cage-video-blog-1-introduction_webcam

This blog is going to follow my journey through the very first season of the brand new mixed marital arts reality tv show Cubicle To the Cage.

If you don't already know Cubicle To the Cage will follow a select group of average, but determined “nine to fivers” that will leave behind the safety and security of their cubicles to be thrust punching, kicking, screaming, into the grueling, world of a mixed martial arts. Long gone will be the late mornings in bed, the long coffee breaks, fast food, and hours relaxing on the couch. Instead they will be following an exact nutrition program, undergoing rigorous strength and conditioning training, while acquiring the skills of wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and Maui Thai. Exhaustion will become a way of life, pain a constant companion and serious injury a regular occupational hazard. Grab a protien shake, get comfortable on the edge of your seat and come along for the ride as we learn if it is possible for the guys and girls to go from the cubicle to the cage!

The show is being filmed by Hemmings House Pictures.

Now that, that stuff is out of the way, you are probably wondering who I am, well if you follow the Maritime wrestling scene you may already know, but incase you don't here is a little about me, My name is Harold Kennedy, but everyone calls me NewScott, I'll explain that in a later blog for all those interested, I have been involved with professional wrestling in the Maritimes for over 10 years, I have done everything from film, to referee, to music and I have even promoted shows, Maybe you been to one, ever heard of the Mairtime Cup?

Wrestling Reality 2007 Tour News

Maritime Wrestlers to be Featured in International Television Series.
Hemmings House Pictures is pleased to announce the production of a new television documentary series completely produced in Atlantic Canada. Licensed by TFN “The Fight Network” and in partnership with Film New Brunswick, producer Greg Hemmings has teamed up with professional wrestlers Peter Smith and Rick Doyle, to produce a documentary television series following the lives of professional wrestlers on the road. The first season of Wrestling Reality will film the wrestlers as they travel to 6 towns and cities in Atlantic Canada, season two is already in the works for Ireland and England. The series will air this coming fall on TFN.
Not only is Wrestling Reality the first documentary series of its kind, it is also Producer Greg Hemmings’ first look into the world of wrestling.
“This certainly is a departure from my previous work, but I’m completely stoked to be able to get a look into the behind the scenes lives of these performers…I feel honored to be able to have a front row seat looking into one of the most secretive sports on Earth.”
Co-producer / star wrestler Peter Smith from Dieppe, NB stands 6 ft 7, and 300 pounds of muscle got into the wrestling business in 1998 after meeting fellow Maritime wrestler Gary Gallant and promoter Emile Dupree. He learned his craft in the Maritimes and in Calgary under the guidance of Maritime legend Leo Burke. Nine years later he has wrestled all over the globe including Japan, Korea, Russia, Egypt and throughout Europe.
“I am absolutely confident we can bring wrestling back to prominence in Canada and especially the Maritimes. This was always a hot bed for wrestling and we want to show the world how much talent we have here and how great the fans are. This series will show exactly how it is to live on the road in the wrestling business and I believe that close up look at our lives will help the public to understand and appreciate what we do.”
Wrestling Reality will also star co-producer Rick Doyle from Kentville NS. Rick is an entrepreneur and a family man. Becoming a professional wrestler has been a life changing experience for him. After taking his son to a local wrestling show in 2001 he was intrigued by the industry.
“I had watched wrestling on television but had never gone to a live show, I couldn’t believe how physical and exciting it was to watch up close”. Much to his family and friends surprise, he decided to go to the training school. “I really never intended to wrestle matches; I just wanted to see if I could survive the training”.
Under the tutelage of Peter smith and Mike Hughes, he emerged as one of the Maritimes most charismatic characters. “The show is a chance for us to show people how much dedication goes into perfecting our trade, and to show them the true personalities behind the in-ring characters”.
The documentary series will be shot between April 30th and May 7th. The producers are excited about the future global potential of the series, and the promotions. Wrestling and Sports fans along with the curious are encouraged to attend the events. By attending these events you will support the regional wrestling scene and be apart of an extraordinary home-grown documentary production series.

New Scott Video Needs Your Help!!!

Ok, here is the deal. I own the masters of just about every WWE pay per view, I am only missing a few of early In Your House pay per views. I own all of the Wrestlemania's, SummerSlam's, Survivor Series, Royal Rumbles, & King Of The Ring's on either original VHS or DVD. With the anthology sets coming out I am tempted to sell the originals. Here is where the problem comes in. The anthology dvd's are edited mostly the music all of the matches are included but alot of music is edited out or something else is mixed over top of it but on the original dvds and vhs tapes the original music is still there and there is no editing. What should I do sell the originals or keep them along with the anthology sets?Help me decide you can post replys here or send me a message. Thanks.

Broken Foot Wednesday

Wednesday Broken Foot Day 5 - Well I'm pretty sure there is nothing else on tap for today so here goes... Hmmm what did I do today.. I watched Saved By The Bell, Dawson's Creek, Road Trip, Scream, Back To The Future, Yes Dear, King Of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, Ultimate Fighter Season 2 Final & a RF Video Shoot Interview with Jackie Gayda. I managed to get down the stairs today that was good times. Oh and thanks to PWM I found out what was better than red.

The Days Of My Broken Foot

Saturday Broken Foot Night 1: After breaking the foot but not knowing it was broken we all went to the peel to watch UFC. When leaving the peel Tommy Ozbourne who was also limping got approached by a hobo who asked us "Why are you both limping?" I responded with "Cause we just beat each other up" the hobo gave a weird look and walked away.

Sunday Broken Foot Day 2: Didn't do anything couldn't walk at all stayed home watched the Superbowl and tried to figure out if I was going to go to the hospital or not.

Monday Broken Foot Day 3: So I went to the hospital waited 5 hours to find out my foot is broken. I broke 4 toes on my left foot and cracked it from the pinky toe all the way to the heal along the side.

Tuesday Broken Foot Day 4: Tried to walk the stairs at my place didn't work out very well. Stayed in my room the rest of the day watched UFC 19,20,21,23 & 66.

Wednesday is today so look out for what I did today tomorrow.

Wonderland

Well I'm bored so it is time for a new Standing Room Only... but what to write about.... hmmmmm I know Wonderland...
My favourite movie is "Wonderland" visit http://www.wonderlandthemovie.com/ for the offial site of the movie. First off the movie has a killer soundtrack http://www.wonderlandthemovie.com/soundtrack_pg.html song list can be found there. I first introduced to this movie back in 2003 when it came out on dvd when my friend Terry (Mr. Zehr) brought it to work and said I had to watch it so he lent it to me, I watched and thought it was ok at the time and gave it back, then about a year later I saw it again on the movie network and thats when it happened, I must have watched the movie everyday for the full month it was on the movie network, then I would rent it on dvd and wait for it to come on the movie network again, for reason I didn't buy it, then I rented it again when Blockbuster started the no late fee gimmick and I noticed I could keep it for a $1.00, so I did and I still watch it about once a week sometimes more and I still watch it when it is on the movie network... crazy eh? The movie is based on the life of John Holems, the most famous adult star of all time, but unlike Boogie Nights, this movie is set after he got out of the business and involved with the Wonderland Gang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonderland_Murders) . Also based around the life of Eddie Nash (Adel Gharib Nasrallah), Joy Audrey Miller, William R. DeVerell, Barbara Richardson, and Ronald Launius. The story goes like this Twelve years after the nearby Manson murders, 8763 Wonderland Avenue in Laurel Canyon was the site of a drug-related multiple-murder (a few websites misstate the address as 8764). Four people were beaten to death with a steel pipe on July 1, 1981.
The major suspect in the case was Eddie Nash (also known as Adel Gharib Nasrallah, born circa 1929) but the best known suspect was John Holmes.
Holmes, thanks to his 13-inch penis, had appeared in over 2,500 pornographic movies and was known as "Johnny Wadd." Holmes and Nash became friends somewhere along the line. Nash could allegedly supply the coke and Holmes had the connections to the wild lifestyle of the porn-industry.
Along the way, Holmes picked up a $1,500 per day cocaine habit which greatly effected his ability to work. He turned to robbery to sustain his coke habit and reportedly began running drugs between Nash and the Wonderland Gang.
The most commonly stated series of events has Holmes setting up Nash to be robbed by the Wonderland Gang in a home invasion style robbery. Stolen, allegedly, was cocaine, heroin, money and jewelry. Present in the house at the time was Nash along with his bodyguard, 300-pound Gregory DeWitt Diles. Nash knew Holmes was involved.
Scott Thorson (gay lover of pianist Liberace) arrived at the Nash residence to pick up some drugs. Upon his arrival, Nash told him he had been just been robbed. Thorson witnessed Diles bring Holmes into the house and beat him horribly until Holmes admitted the Wonderland Gang was behind the robbery. Nash threatened to kill Thorson if he ever repeated what he witnessed.
Holmes reportedly helped Nash's crew to enter the Wonderland house where four of the residents were slaughtered brutally on July 1, 1981. A fifth victim survived. At best, Holmes watched the murders. At worst, he helped swing the pipe.
Shortly after the murders, police arrested Nash when a raid found $1 million worth of cocaine in his house. He spent two years in prison.
In 1982, John Holmes was put on trial for the murders. His lawyers convinced the jury that Holmes was just another victim and he was acquitted. Holmes later found he was HIV-positive but continued to perform in porn. In 1988, he died from AIDS-related illnesses.
Over the years, Scott Thorson remained friends with Nash although his own life had been threatened. Thorson had broken up with Liberace and experienced drug problems. He claims to have lost most of his possessions to Nash in exchange for drugs. When the state of California eventually brought murder charges against Eddie Nash, Thorson made a deal with the District Attorney to have unrelated criminal charges dropped in exchange for his testimony.
Nash's 1990 trial ended when the jury hung on a vote of eleven to one. Later, it would be alleged Nash had bribed the holdout.
Thorson entered the Federal Witness Protection Program but later left it. Thorson was shot five times in a 1990 robbery but lived.
In 1991, a second trial acquitted Nash. His bodyguard, Diles, passed away in 1995 at age 48.
1997 saw the release of the movie Boogie Nights The characters Dirk Diggler and Rahad Jackson were based upon John Holmes and Eddie Nash.
On May 19, 2000, a federal indictment named Nash, Holmes, Diles and three others as suspects in racketeering, bribery, drug trafficking, money laundering and the Wonderland Murders. Nash was 71 at the time of the indictment. In poor health and suffering from emphysema, Nash was tested and found to be infected with tuberculosis. The remaining three people named in the indictment were convicted of wire fraud and tax evasion. Nash pled guilty to conspiracy to commit the Wonderland murders. He was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison and now lives in the Los Angeles area.
The main cast of the movie is : Val Kilmer, Kate Bosworth, Lisa Kudrow and Dylan McDermott. If you haven't seen it watch it. It is fantastic.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Well 2005 is almost in the books and what a year it has been.
Wrestling wise here in the Maritimes there were three great shows this year, the 2nd Maritime Cup, Pro Wrestling United in Trenton and WWR in Canning. All three shows featured the best talent the Maritimes had to offer. The 2nd Maritime Cup set the standard this year by drawing over 800 fans. Also in November of this year WWR had a tv taping for the Fight Network which will air all across Canada. I was one of the camera operators for this show and it was nothing short of tremendous experience for me. Just knowing that something I taped will air on national tv for millions of people to see is a great feeling, also being apart of such a tight group as the WWR family is a great too. I want to thank Duke MacIsaac, Gary Williams, Trash Canyon and especially Kingman for giving me the chance to tape for them and the Fight Network. In case you haven't heard or incase you have been living under a rock Wrestling With Reality has been continuing on it's roll of kicking down doors left and right to get this project to hit the big time.
The most recent development came about with the help of Vinny Glyde's good friend, Rock Star INXS winner JD Fortune; who viewed the pilot episode and loved what he saw. With his help, WWR has been contacted by a major award winning Hollywood producer who has worked on hit television shows such as American Idol and Rock Star INXS. WWR has entered into a relationship with this producer to start working on landing an american network deal. I can't wait until 2006, WWR is going not only explode here in the Maritimes but all over the world.
On a New Scott Video note, I have moved away from VHS (you can still order it though if you email me) and I started making DVD's, the first recorder I had was ok for starting out but it didn't last very long, I recently got a brand new one which clears up the picture alot and no more freezing dvd's! So start ordering your favourite Maritime shows on dvd right away by visiting the DVD FOR SALE section of http://www.newscott.com . I will have some brand new DVD's for sale starting in early 2006, one that I am making right now that I think will be a great treat for all the fans of Maritime wrestling that don't get to see enough of this wrestler, can you guess who it is? well I will tell you right now!... I have recently come to terms on a deal with Winnipeg's own Sweet Sarah Stock or as she is known in Mexico as the Dark Angel to make a Best of DVD featuring many matches from 2002-2003 from Canada and matches from the United States that have never before been seen in Canada. Sarah is by far the best woman wrestler in the world today and having a dvd like this with matches so early in her career is a must have. Sarah is going to be on top of the wrestling world sooner than later so make sure you get this dvd right away, stay tuned for ordering details.
I want to wish all of Team New Scott Members a Merry Christmas!!! See you all soon have a safe and Happy New Year!

To Run with the Cougar... What the hell am I talking about?

Since I have something to talk about for the first time in awhile I figure I'll write one these. On September 29th the first ever show of the New Real Action Wrestling will be held at the Mi'kmaq Friendship Center. Not your normal wrestling venu but what in wrestling is normal? Who thought that a bar off Main St. Darthmouth would be the hottest place to wrestle for 7 months in 2003, why can't the same thing happen with a new venu in Halifax? answer... It can. The roster Real Action is promoting is very good. Gary Williams... Everything the guy does in the ring is perfect, top 5 in Canada including WWE and TNA. Scott Savage... Hardest working wrestler in world. Vinny Glyde... good in the ring great on the mic, deadly combo. Tony Armsgrong... Smiles too much but has a great move set and the sickest finisher in the Maritimes. Zero... The new Marko no one should be that good so early in ones career so entertaining to watch. Paco Loco... Has stuck with it though think and thin and has come a long way. Trash Canyon... No one person has improved more than Trash in the past few years. Cinder... I miss the dreads, won't accpect defeat on any level, nothing but respect for Cinder. And Lincoln Steen... What can I say about Steen? He is so talented it blows my mind. He knows the name to every little wrestling move you can think of, but not only that he know the name he knows how to apply them... trust me I know... He might not have the body of a greek god, be he can wrestle, and thats what counts. There is no doubt that Gary and Steen will have an outstanding match on the 29th that will leave fans more than satisfied. For those Steen disbelievers look at what he has done and who he has worked with, Sarah Stock, Chi Chi Cruz, Eddie Watts, Duke MacIsaac, Bobby Roode, Gangrel, Honky Tonk Man, he's been on Tony Condello's Death Tour and has attented training camps run by the Kardinal Sinners. Plus for 4 years in MSW he had the best matches on the card every night hands down. Now he gets the chance for the first time to grab the ball and run with it. I wish Steen the best of luck on on Sept 29th, he deserves this shot.

I hope to get footage of Cinder vs the Roll of Tape and the Staple Gun online soon, the best handicap match ever, which Cinder lost... HUGE, he also couldn't find my house he said he didn't want directions to it that he could find it on his own so I ended up having to drive and pick him up, I think I saw a tear in his eye because he was so lost, maybe thats why Leo Burke was late for the show... he was lost...

It's that time of year

Well it looks as if I am moving again... that's right again... I've moved 7 times in the past 3 years it's getting kinda crazy, this time though I don't have far to go, I am just moving into a different apartment in the same building just A bigger unit, with room for the tapes, this is the second time the tapes have forced me to move out of a place, there is just so many of them, the new place has a huge storage room with shelves across one wall which is perfect for the tapes. The biggest pain is going to be cleaning out the 55 gallon fish tank that has 25-30 fish in it.
Aside from that the summer is shaping up to be a good one wrestling wise with GPW running full time and ECPW running a few spot shows it should be a good summer for everyone. You can view the show dates on a new section on the main page of the site. I have also redone the History section make sure you check that out. Well that's about it for now. Oh... I almost forgot my new shift at work... unless we close first.. starts June 13th 8am-4:30pm.

Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk

Well first off I want to thank Kingman, Trash Canyon, Gary Williams, Lincoln Steen, Scott Savage, Duke MacIsaac, Cinder, Tony Armstrong and Vinny Glyde for putting on one hell of sequel to the Maritime Cup. Despite what Kingman did to the Trophy after the show I still respect this man for all he has done in the Maritimes and all over the world in this business. Thank You. Ok so as you probably have heard by the now the Maritime Cup was a huge success in Kentville on May 4th drawing an amazing 800 fans to the show, something that hasn't been done in years in the Maritimes. It couldn't have been any better. All the hard work that everyone put into it, no matter how big or small a job they had felt so proud to be apart of that show. Then it was off to Eskasoni for show two. It was the return to Cape Breton for the first time in four years for Team New Scott, it consisted of original members Lincoln Steen, Scott Savage and my self, as well as someone that was let into our group in 2003, Tony Armstrong. Tony's job in the group is to pretty much bug the hell out of Steen, and too carry the tradition of the Taylor jokes on Savage. We all know what happened that night Savage... don't you think it's time you guys leave?... yeah thats right. Also Saturday saw me play a pretty big joke on Steen that I even think Savage and Armstrong thought was legit, I think I may have carried it a bit too far, sorry Steen, I knew you were good for it. After the Eskasoni show Tony and my self had to drive back to the city, but it wasn't as easy as it sounds, after driving around the back roads of Eskasoni for about an hour or so we came to the end of the road and a sign that said $5.00 boat ride, sure enough the boat pulls up, no one comes to take our money so we drive on this boat, it takes us ACROSS THE STREET and then still no one comes to take our money, and then we eventually find the highway... but we never got to Eskasoni on a boat how in the blue hell did we leave on one? Sorry Tony your no On-Steen (get it? On-Steen hahaha) But all is well we get back to Halifax safe and sound in the pouring windy windy windy windy pouring rain and I go to drop Tony off at his place, I open the trunk and he takes out his bag and then it happens ( not to mention 2 nights before I hit him in the head with my trunk) Tony's bag opens up and in the pouring windy rain his gear and clothes started blowing all over the street, man it was a bad few days for Tony in his driveway. Well thats about all for now but remember... Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk.

Cheeves Day 1

Well last Thursday night Tony Armstrong and my self went to the airport to pick up Miss Chevius (from this point on she is now Cheeves) . We got there around 7pm ish, she was suppose to get in around 7:23pm, but her flight got delayed untill 8:pm which wasn't too bad. So Cheeves gets to Maritimes safe and sound, as we are driving around town we pass were I went to high school, which is now a parking lot with a tree in it.
We get downtown and head to Maxwell's but on the way we get stopped by a hobo who tries to sell Tony a bus ticket for $2.00, Tony being the guy that he is gives the Hobo a toonie and tells him he can keep the bus ticket, Hobo should be happy right? WRONG, he then complains about the $2.00 and asks for another dollar, really, who does that ? but it all worked out fine Tony got his picture taken with his new biggest fan and that night ended well after I dropped Cheeves and Tony back off at Hotel Armstrong. Check back soon for day two with Cheeves.

Red, White and Crue

Motley Crue rules, go buy the new cd, 3 wicked new tracks plus all kinds of old Crue stuff, its fantastic! Well I'm watching Smackdown waiting for the Thursday McDeal to be brought home, mmmm food. Paul London and Kidman just had a good match, but then again London could have a good match with my 900 mega hertz cordless phone. Word "Freaking" Life. Wrestlemania was this past Sunday and the Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels stole the show hands down. Other than that my favourite part would have to be Piper responding to the crowd when they chanted "WHAT!" now thats good tv. We are under one month until the second Maritime Cup, all the top stars aside from Mike Hughes are going to be at the show, I for one will miss seeing the Kowboy in action. Also coming up in May are two ECPW show's after the Cup in May 7th, 2005: Eskasoni, Nova Scotia - Sarah Denny Cultural Center, May 8th, 2005: North Sydney, Nova Scotia - North Sydney Forum. If you live anywhere near either of those places make sure you check out the shows. I'll be at the first one on May 7th video camera in hand as usual. Yay Miss Jackie on SD! sorry, I'm just bored and trying to entertain my self, up next is a bikini contest Torrie vs Miss Jackie vs Dawn Marie... ohhh the drama... I cleaned one of 3 fish tanks tonight, not the shark tank thats like a 5 hour job its huge. Just the 10gallon fresh water tank got cleaned tonight. I got the chance to interview Coach Scott D'Amore from NWA-TNA's Team Canada. Now that's cool (sorry Carlito just came on tv) Speaking of Carlito I was watching a tape of ACW from May 2002 and I saw Fabian Stokes biting an apple and spitting at people. Well I'm going to go wait for my food and watch some more Smackdown. Yay Vance Nevada and Miss Chevius! Take Care all.

History

So after not doing much yesterday, last night I decided to finish going looking at 101 years of Maritime wrestling history, for those of you that don't know in the coming months I am going to be adding a new section to the site, with the help of Wrestle-Media that is just about the Independent Maritime history, it is going to be very interesting, I have been working on it since February and I hope to be done sometime time, things are starting to take shape. As I was looking at the results I found two shows that really stuck out, the first one being the results to the first ever WWF show I went too Feb 10, 1989 - WWF; The Forum; Halifax, NS
WWF Champ Randy Savage beat WWF IC Champ Ultimate Warrior by Count Out ... Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard beat Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty... Rick Martel beat Haku ... Brutus Beefcake beat Ron Bass ... Honky Tonk Man beat Bret Hart ... Paul Roma beat Boris Zhukov. The other set of results was from an NWA show, now I've always heard that they were here but I never actaully seen who wrestled on the card or where the show was held,
May 8, 1990 - NWA; Metro Centre; Halifax, NS
Mike Rotundo beat Bruce Martin ... Bam Bam Bigelow beat Joey Colbin ... Mike Rotundo & Norman the Lunatic beat Dutch Mantell & Kevin Sullivan ... Animal beat Bobby Eaton ... NWA Champ Ric Flair beat Hawk by DQ .
The only person on the show I never heard of was Joey Colbin, if anyone knows who that is, please let me know. Oh and Lincoln Steen told me the show with the ring that went around in a circle was just called World Championship Wrestling, which would be the reason why I didn't know the name, because it didn't have one lol. Oh and if any knows if the Thomas Auction Centre is still open in Dartmouth, or even if the building is still there let me know, there is some great wrestling history between those walls.
Have a great Sunday everybody, take care.

Saturday Afternoon

It's Saturday afternoon I'm watching wrestling (surprised right?), but it's just not the same as when I was kid, sure the WWE has some tv shows on today and Velocity on tonight, Velocity is actually very good to watch, some great matches happen on that show with Paul London. But it just doesn't have the same feeling as watching Saturday Night's Main Event, or on Saturday mornings there was a WCW show I can't remember the name of the show but it was the one that had the ring that kept moving around in circle, and then there was WWF Superstars and Maple Leaf Wrestling, those were the good old days, right now I'm watching a comp tape that I made of the 2001 WWF/WCW/ECW Invasion angle, it's good but it's just not the same, expect for the Milk-O-Mania segment which was pure gold. Other than that doesn't look like much going on today, T-Shirts have been delayed again (Sorry Gary) stupid government making me pay. I'll get them made by the year 2015 at this rate, or when ever the Cubs win the world series which ever comes first (BTTF 2). I have added some new interviews over the past little while, Sinn, Flesh and a few more, check out New Scott Interviews for that.
Also pretty big news with the Maritime Cup, Trailer Park Boys star Sarah Dunsworth has been signed to appear at the show, with someone like that signing on to do the show you only expect this show to be even bigger than everyone though it was, and also signed this past week, "The Future" Tony Armstrong and 2003 finalist "The Kowboy" Mike Hughes, with Kowboy coming so close to winning in 2003, and this time having the chance to become the first ever ECPW champ, look for things to get very interesting as we get closer and closer to May 4th.
Oh so my Apple Snails had baby snails, I went from having 4 snails to having somewhere in the rang of 30 and those are the ones I can find. Anyone want any Sails ? and one of the fish (the ones not in the shark tank) had babies too, there was eight , but three didn't make it, but the other five are getting bigger and bigger as the days go by.
Thats about it for now. Take Care. I hope all is well.

7:30am Saturday

Well its about 7:30am Saturday morning and I'm up, not only am I up now, but I've been up for the past hour, and I've already showered. I was never the type of person that was able to sleep in late, but now that I'm working the day shift I get up super early every day, but its ok I kind of enjoy it, it gives more of the day to get things done. Which means work on my site for an extra 5 hours a day lol. As you may have seen I have scanned and placed just about every picture that Mr. Zehr ever took, The offical number so far (I'm still finding more) is around 1100 pictures or so, mostly of MSW in 2003 from May - November, and the 2003 Maritime Cup. There's tons of awesome pictures of Sarah Stock, Chi Chi Cruz Lincoln Steen, Tony Armstrong, Scott Savage, Cinder, Vinny Glyde, Bobby Rude, Mike Hughes, Gary Williams just about everybody that wrestled here in 2003 is in Mr. Zehr's Camera Room and on the Maritime Cup page, so make sure you check them out. Hopefully in 2005 with ECPW we get as many great pictures as was taken in 2003. Speaking of ECPW things are looking great for May 4th in Kentville, I'm sure the fans of Kentville can't wait for the date, it's been so long since a soild top to bottom wrestling promotion has visited that area, and thats not a knock on anyone, there just hasn't been anything really that good since 2003 which is why I think the fans in Kentville are going to get a show of a life time, all the boys have been training hard to be able to put on the best show they can so even if you don't live in Kentville the 2nd Maritime Cup is going to be worth the trip from anywhere in the Maritimes, do not miss this show. Make sure you keep an eye on www.ecpw.maritimewrestling.com or right here for all updates. There will be new interviews posted weekly for the next few weeks so make sure you read them as well. The Queen (or Smackdown's number one fan as she likes to be called) was at it again this past month she made a SUPER TREMENDOUS website which is now my favourite website to visit www.sarah.maritimewrestling.com , it's amazing that no one made her a site before, Sarah is hands down the top female wrestler in world, I've never met any one guy or girl that works as hard or is as dedicated to wrestling as she is, I can't wait for her to someday return back to the Maritimes. On her site you will find a bio, complete match results, tons and tons of pictures, check it out now before you even read on it's just that good.
Someone else thats coming to the Maritimes in a few months is Vance Nevada, this guy has helped me and my site out so much that I can't wait till he comes down so I can sit down and talk with him again, visit www.vancenevada.com . Lincoln Steen as also opened his site up again www.steentopia.maritimewrestling.com , I guess he is now offical finished with "a wet floor is hardcore" .
Well that's about it for now, thanks for reading, have a great weekend.
